(MedilinePlus#1) These are symptoms that could progress, and if you don't catch it early enough it may be fatal. These are just the normal symptoms of having the syndrome. You would ususally notice right away when the child is born if he or she has Morquio's Syndrome. What is the treatment for Morquio's?By: Katy Jensen Researchers are currently trying to find a cure for the syndrome(MpsSociety#1). Currently there is no specific cure; however; they are trying to find a cure. The cure with involve a replacement with enzymes, and it will hopefully turn out to be a miracle cure. Symptoms are treated as they occur, and if not they could get worse.(MpsSociety#1). Having a spinal fusion could prevent a permanent spinal cord injury if not treated correctly. If your family member or friend has Morquio it would have most likely been diagnosed when they were a child, or a baby. |
